Mission Statement

“Getting Back to Basics: Catechesis A Two Way Street”

Catechesis - an education in the faith of children, young people and adults which includes especially the teaching of Christian doctrine imparted, generally speaking, in an organic and systematic way, with a view to initiating the hearers into the fullness of Christian life".

This year will be dedicated to the goal that both the teachers and the students will leave each session, having experienced catechesis in its fullest dimension.  Having come together in the presence of Christ, the original Catechist, both Catechist and student and all others present should leave with their hearts burning within them, as were the hearts of Christ’s disciples when they encountered Him, after His resurrection, on the road to Emmaus.

"Were not our hearts burning [within us] while he spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?" (Lk 24:32)
